Hee Won Jeon is an accomplished native Korean cellist. As an international artist, Jeon has graced concert stages across the USA, Europe and Asia, collaborating with esteemed orchestras that include the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, Mahlerian Project Orchestra, Beethoven Symphony Orchestra Hessen and Mainz Musici Ensemble.

In addition to her orchestral achievements, she has participated in prestigious summer festivals on fellowships, including the Eastern Music Festival, Domaine Forget in Canada, the Chautauqua Institution, The Next Festival of Emerging Artists and the Beethoven Orchestra Hessen.

Jeon's artistic journey has been shaped by profound tutelage from renowned figures and groups, which include the Pacifica Quartet, Natalia Gutman, Pieter Wispelwey, Gustav Rivinius (HfM Saarbrücken), Claudia Bussian (Gewandhaus), Reiner Ginzel (HfM München), Lluís Claret (NEC) and Ingrid Matthews (JSoM).

Presently based in Indianapolis, Indiana, she is completing her doctoral studies at Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music. Her dissertation prepares a critical performance edition of the cello and piano works of Wilhelm Fitzenhagen — the first such compilation available in the United States for performers and teachers — drawing on primary sources gathered with the Berlin State Library. Her academic journey includes a Master of Music degree from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music degree from Musikhochschule Mainz.

Alongside performing, Jeon serves as an international juror for the Charleston International Music Competition, and as contractor and audition committee member for the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra. She founded Jeon Cello Studio in 2023 and is Kodály certified.
